Be careful !!Six big failure of bearings



Bearing is the core part of mechanical . We can check the fault of bearing timely to ensure the normal operation of machinery.Now let's look at six big failure of bearings.

1.Fatigue
Bearing fatigue is characterized by spalling of bearing raceway.This is because the strength of the bearing steel particles decreases, causing the particles to peel off the raceway.The surface of the cracked bearing is rough, which will produce noise and vibration.

Normal fatigue damage occurs when the bearing reaches its expected life under normal load and working conditions.This form of damage is predictable and is caused by metal damage under continuous load.


When the bearing hole in the transmission is refitted, early fatigue damage may occur if the bearing hole is too small or out of circle.Special care should also be taken in reboring holes in the housing.The hole boring deviation on the shell will cause the shaft installation error, which will also cause the early fatigue damage of the bearing.Therefore, the precision of boring equipment should be high.

2.Poor lubrication
Bearing damage caused by poor lubrication is characterized by discoloration of bearing parts and peeling of raceway, or possibly damage to the retaining frame.Bearing damage is caused not only by low oil level, but also by impurities, improper grade and different grades of lubricants.
In order to prevent such damage, the transmission should maintain a proper height of oil surface, use the recommended lubricating oil brand and grade, and change the oil on schedule.

3.Indentation
Indentation refers to the bearing raceway shoulder or bottom of the small gap which may be caused by improper bearing installation or disassembly methods.If the bearing is supported on one seat ring, striking or pressing another seat ring will cause indentation.In addition to producing indentations when striking bearings with a hammer or chisel, damage to dust covers, retaining frames and retaining rings can also be caused.The above damage can be avoided by using correct tools such as puller.

4.Micro-vibration wear
As a result of vibration, the outer ring of the bearing will be rolled out bearing holes on the mechanical processing of the grave.This action is called micro-vibration wear.Bearings subjected to microvibro-abrasion are often wrongly diagnosed as the result of bearing rotation in the hole.The outer ring of the bearing rotates in the hole only under extreme conditions.

5.Pollution damage
The bearing is contaminated and damaged due to dirt entering the transmission housing or impurities entering the bearing during maintenance and storage.
The contamination damage of the bearing is usually found in the raceway: marks on the ball or roller, scratches or pitting, and rust or corrosion of bearing parts.In addition, if the lubricating oil contains very fine particles (such as abrasive powder) or USES highly active extreme pressure lubricating oil, the bearing parts will also be ground

When the transmission is normally ventilated, impurities often enter the transmission.Therefore, it is necessary to replace the transmission lubricating oil according to the specified period to reduce the pollution damage of the bearing.

6.The inner and outer circles are different
If the transmission is installed and its input shaft is not aligned with the guide bearing hole in the flywheel, the positioning bearing on the input shaft may have different inner and outer rings.At this point the roller holder and dust cover may be damaged.

When looking for reasons of different cores, the concentricity between the clutch housing and mounting surface and the guide bearing should be checked first. Meanwhile, whether there is any sundries mixed in and whether the installation position is correct.
